| Vigneux
has preserved good number of its hedged farmlands. Its
relief organizes harmoniously around two waterway: the
Gesvres that takes its source at the pond of the
Bretonnière, and the Cens that takes birth near the
castle of the Buron. We propose you a hike that has the
advantage of being covered only partially: its starting
point is found in the center of the buckle as the map
indicates it. Leave from the fountain Saint - Martin. A legend tells that we has this source of pure water to prayers of women for the Saint_patron of the Parish. Their husbands profited too much fruits of their vines and often drunk knocked them. The water of the fountain returned the peace and the happiness and the vine soppeared to the profit of the wheat and the breeding. Go back to the church then straight away by forsaking the road of the Temple on the left. After the cemetery, take the path of earth until the Mancelière-jourdan and continue, then on the right below. A great part of the path (2km) allows to rejoin the Fremière. On the right at the cross take the road until the farm. Cross fields then rejoin the castle of the Bretonnière (xv, century), ancient pavilion of hunting of the Rohan. At the farm of the Barbière, follow the private path that passes to the end of the garden of the castle (we advice to the hikers to be very discreet). Abandon it by the left to borrow a great alley that serves neighbor woods. You arrive on the D 81. Continue in direction of Vigneux by the path (on the left) that offers an arrogance view on Vigneux and the valley of the Gesvres. Cross the course of water (on your right) by a bridge. Leave the asphaltic road on the right for the cashed road that rejoins the Genelière. Then fork by the Bas - Vernay to take again an agricultural path until the Port - Mahon. Return on the D 381. Then to the North go to the Moulin Neuf. Continue then until the starting point. |
