| In
the center of the city, the park of Procé, work of
Hazelnut (1866), is one of the most representative of
parks Nantes. Vast area of 16 ha gently hilly and wooded,
and richly planted, it is today a continuation of the
botanical garden : camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias,
heathers, azaleas and vivacious plant will fulfill expert
and neophytes. Facing the castle, built in 1789, the
tulip tree is one of the most beautiful specimens of the
region. Children can profit of a padelling pool while parents maintain their form on the track of athletics or the football ground. The place does not forget anybody and especially lovers of the nature who can continue their walk of the Chézine, delicious green valley that begins here. The brook of the Chézine, as risen from nowhere, prints this place of a refreshing mark. |
