Orvault

Circuit of approximately 1 0 km.
3 hours on foot / bike.

Place of the church, take the street of the Raffuneau (P.1) and at the crossroads on your right, the path of Garettes of where you will be able to admire in a framework of greenery the Castle of the Raffuneau (private) of naissance style. At the end of the path, then of the Alley of the Tour, discover the Castle of the Tour and its pond bury in woods them. It was built in the XVI century by L. Perrot, alderman of the city of Nantes. In face, on the right, is the Gothic style Chapel with a magnificent stained-glass window (classified historical monument) representing scenes of the passion.
  Go for a stroll - you in this local property. You have a very beautiful view on the countryside of Orvault. Then take the path behind the castle, pass the brook of the Rousselière, and continue until the GR3 (demarcated white and red).

  At the crossroads (of the GR3), take on the right, then the path of the Clogand, then of the Bussonnière. At the D75 turn left. Approximately 100 m further, you arrive at the castle of the Plessis (private) built to 1830 at the bottom of a magnificent alley, broadside of great trees, in the ancient residence of lords of Orvault, Bourigan du Pé. Bankrupted, they sold this property to an ancient planter of Saint - Domingue whose son, J.Guillet de la Brosse has erected the new castle after the destruction of the first. Rejoin the D42, take the terrace on the right until the roundabout. Take the path on the right. At the crossing with the D75, turn left and continue until the castle of the Loret (private) built on a wooded site dominating a magnificent plan of water. This path joins the GR3 (to left) and returns to the village to your starting point by passing the pond of the Loret.
Hiking walks possibility of more than 50 km. Precise plan to that you can take in the city hall and in the point 1.
